News Flash: ASSRA Registers its first Australian Georgian Grande! G001 - Glengowrie Celtic Melody!

Welcome to ASSRA's newest addition - the registry of the Georgian Grande.

The Georgian Grande is the result of breeding between the American Saddlebred and a registered heavy breed such as the Friesian, Clydesdale, Percheron or Shire. The purpose is to develop a heavier boned, more old fashioned type that still retains the elegance of a riding horse.

There are two main divisions within the registry: the Georgian Grande Horse, to be 14.2hh and over, and the Georgian Grande Pony, under 14hh.

ASSRA are thrilled to be the Sister Registry for the Georgian Grande in Australia, in collaboration with the International Georgian Grande Society.
