Congratulations to Kevin Sayer and Kobada's Jacq of Times (ASHAA registration A345) on their recent successes in the demanding sport of endurance riding. Congratulations are also in order to Penny Lockwood from Kobada Stud in NSW who bred JT. Latest news confirm that Kevin sold JT to to a big endurance stable in the United Arab Emirates. We are looking forward to hearing how JT's carreer progresses overseas.

To cater for the rising number of purebred Saddlebred horses in Australia which are from non dna tested parents, we have established the E registry within our studbook. Entry to the E registry is open to all documented purebred Saddlebred horses which do not qualify for the A registry because of lack of dna data.
The difference between those horses and the ones in the A registry, is that the A resgistry is for purebred Saddlebred horses which are dna tested and fully parentage verified via dna test or blood typing to the original USA imports. The A registry is fully recognised by ASHA (USA). A registry horses qualify for USA registration papers. E registry horses do not.
To be accepted into the E registry, the Saddlebred must be purebred and there must be documentation by way of breeding records or other Saddlebred registry forms. To be eligible for E registry entry, a Saddlebred must be dna tested so that the results may be added to the Saddlbred dna information database.
If at any time in the future, further dna information becomes available, E registry horses may be upgraded to full USA-recognised A registry status. The more purebred Saddlebred horses are entered into the dna database, the greater the chance for E registry horses to be upgraded in the future.
For more information, please contact the registrar.
